A few weeks ago, Miami-based BLU announced the Vivo XL, a 5.5-inch phablet with mid-level specs and an entry-level price point. Today, BLU announced that the Vivo XL became available for purchase from BestBuy.
For this weekend only, the handset will only set you back $99.99, down from the usual retail price of $149.99.
The Vivo XL comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels. At the heart of this device is a MediaTek MT-6753 SoC, a chip that integrates a 1.3GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and an ARM Mali-T720 GPU. Paired with 2GB of RAM, the chip should offer smooth operation during basic tasks.
Other specs include a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP secondary shooter, 16GB of microSD-expandable internal storage. On the software side, the BLU Vivo XL currently runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, but the company says that an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is on its way.
