Oppo F1 is the first member of the new F-series, which the company states will be focused on luxurious design and premium camera experience. It is now available on pre-order in Vietnam, but it will hit more markets .soon
The Oppo F1 has a thin 7.25mm aluminum unibody and packs a 5" IPS display of 720p resolution protected by a curved Gorilla Glass 4 piece. A Snapdragon 616 is in charge with an octa-core 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, and 3GB of RAM.
The rear camera is a 13MP shooter with an f/2.2 lens and a single-LED flash. The front camera is an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 lens (1/4" sensor) and its software tweaks include Beautify 3.0 interface, 8 live color filters, and most importantly - it can use the screen as a flash in low-light conditions ala IPhone 6s.
The Oppo F1 specs sheet also lists 16GB of expandable storage, dual-SIM capabilities with LTE connectivity, and a 2,500 mAh battery. Android 5.1 Lollipop with Color 2.1 launcher runs the Oppo F1.
Oppo F1 is available on pre-order in Vietnam right now for roughly $290 and will ship on January 21. The first 1,500 people to pre-order the F1 will receive a gift courtesy of Oppo, an iLike Bluetooth headset.
